Recently I have been reading THE RIGHT WORDS AT THE RIGHT TIME.
It is a really nice book! It has been the NY Times best seller for a long
peroid of time (How long? I am not sure. Got to check it out :-)).
Anyway, it is a book written by Marlo Thomas and her friends. Most of
them are celebrity or got some great acheivement in their field.
Also these people are from very different backgrounds, including
many immigrant authors like Christin Amanpour, Ang Lee... etc. I am
going to write something in my dairy about it later. Hope you will like it. |

Another lonely weekend. Even couldn't find a guy to play table tennis.
Went to the student center. The parking lot used to be crowded.
But it was quite empty today. Yeh, it's a weekend, a weekend that is
close to Thanksgiving, and close to Christmas. And there come
more and more weekends in this holiday season. I don't know
how I can go through it. May my heart be braver and go through all
these lonely times. Coming back from the center after luckily
finding some single guys there playing basketball, checked the
mmittbbs and !oohay for messages my friends sent to me.
Some friend may ask me my aadrress over there. Well, I
guess that's a good idea. Just try hywhyw04 over there, okay!
I am waiting for your message. There are good days and there
are some bad days. Day in and day out ... ... |

美丽而聪明的 Iris Chang (张纯茹) 走了。
初听到消息的时候，真不敢相信这是真的。
有些朋友说，真希望这是愚人节的新闻。
可是，真实的阳光如刺。看看她的网页，
看看她的美丽的相片，看看她从25岁开始
出版的书，这样一个 wonderful human being
竟以饮弹自尽的方式，让自己三十六岁的
年华打上了终止符。留下她亲爱的两岁的
幼儿，留下她亲爱的夫君，留下她的读者。
在抑郁症的旋风中，撒手人寰。
有人说她长期沉浸于南京屠杀那样人类黑
暗的一面中，难免精神失衡，陷入抑郁。
也有人认为她是否也受产后抑郁的影响。
我想她是否超负荷工作不会给自己减压呢。
其实她刚从疗养院出来(因为抑郁症)，
又开始她第四本书的奔波。现代社会节奏和
压力俱大，还是把步调控制在自己能驾驭的
范围内好些。
